Photo éducation et médiation (Terre, Plante, Livre, Classeur)

Visits and educational workshops

The Festival team helps you discover the exhibitions of the biggest outdoor photo festival in France!

Guided tours, educational workshops and meetings will be organised throughout the duration of the event. Make the most of this time to explore the universes of the photographers presented at the 18th edition of the La Gacilly Photo Festival.

Our cultural mediations are destined to children from the age of 3, and are adapted according to school cycles or age groups. Our educational offer helps teachers and chaperones prepare their visit and offers different ways of discovering the Festival programme.

"TAKING ACTION FOR THE PLANET: RECYCLING OUR MOBILE PHONES" CHALLENGE

Ever since we pubished our manifesto at the beginning of the year, the La Gacilly Photo Festival - in partnership with Orange - invites schools and youth organisations to take part in the collection of used mobile phones. Too often forgotten in desk drawers, used mobile phones are full of sometimes rare materials which are just waiting to be recycled! When visiting the Festival, groups will be able to leave their collection in the Festival team's hands. The phones will then be given to the recycling branch created by Orange in partnership with Emmaüs International. All the phones' components will be used or recycled into new products!

The project will start at the beginning of the school year in September 2020 and end October 31st 2020, at the end of the Festival.

Make the most of your time in La Gacilly on September 18th to take part in this challenge! For a more in-depth experience, there will be a conference/debate held by Mrs Céline Obejero on 18/09/20 at10am.

The class or school that drops off the most phones into the collection will be given a guided tour or a game-tour of the 18th edition of the Photo Festival in 2021.

If you would like to participate, please contact us:  +33(0)2 99 08 68 00 or at the following address: contact@festivalphoto-lagacilly.com

Morbihan School Photo Festival

Spurred on by the success of previous years, the La Gacilly Photo Festival and the Morbihan Departmental Council, in partnership with the French Ministry of Education, are inviting local secondary schools to take part in this educational project based on an exploration of photography for the 11th year running.

350 students from 16 public and private secondary schools in the area have spent time working on an exhibition on the theme ‘The opening’ throughout the academic year. The resulting exhibition is an integral part of the festival’s programme and showcases all the work accomplished by the pupils throughout the year.
